Carbon Reduction Plan
1. Commitment to Achieving Net Zero
Excel AV Ltd is committed to reducing its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050.
We recognise the importance of addressing climate change and are committed to reducing the environmental impact of our operations, supply chain and services. We will seek to achieve this through measurable emissions reductions, improved energy efficiency, responsible procurement, sustainable travel and transport, waste reduction and ongoing engagement with employees, suppliers and other stakeholders.
This Carbon Reduction Plan sets out the actions that Excel AV Ltd will take to reduce emissions and monitor progress towards our Net Zero target.
2. Baseline Emissions Footprint
The baseline emissions footprint provides a starting point against which future emissions reductions will be measured.
Our baseline year is 2026.
| EMISSIONS | TOTAL (tCO2e) |
|---|---|
| Scope 1 | 104.820 |
| Scope 2 | 3.860 |
| Scope 3 (Included Sources) | 145.274 |
| Total Emissions | 253.954 |
3. Current Emissions Reporting
Excel AV Ltd will calculate and report its greenhouse gas emissions annually.
Our emissions inventory will cover, where applicable:
- Scope 1: Direct emissions from sources owned or controlled by the organisation.
- Scope 2: Indirect emissions associated with purchased electricity, steam or cooling.
- Scope 3: Other indirect emissions arising from activities such as purchased goods and services, business travel, employee commuting, waste and transportation.
| EMISSIONS | TOTAL (tCO2e) |
|---|---|
| Scope 1 | 104.820 |
| Scope 2 | 3.860 |
| Scope 3 (Included Sources) | 145.274 |
| Total Emissions | 253.954 |
4. Carbon Reduction Targets
Excel AV Ltd has established the following targets:
Short-term target
Reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 30% by 2029 against the 2026 baseline.
Medium-term target
Reduce total Scope 1, Scope 2 and relevant Scope 3 emissions by 60% by 2036 against the 2026 baseline.
Long-term target
Achieve Net Zero emissions by 2050.
Progress against these targets will be reviewed annually by senior management.
Where technically and commercially feasible, we will prioritise actual emissions reductions rather than relying on carbon offsets.
Actual: 253.954 tCO2e
Target: 253.954 tCO2e
Target: 200.000 tCO2e
Target: 180.000 tCO2e
Target: 160.000 tCO2e
Target: 140.000 tCO2e
Target: 100.000 tCO2e
Target: 75.000 tCO2e
Target: 50.000 tCO2e
Target: 0.000 tCO2e

We will therefore:
- Consider environmental performance when selecting suppliers.
- Encourage key suppliers to measure and reduce their own emissions.
- Where appropriate, request carbon information from suppliers.
- Prioritise durable, repairable and energy-efficient products.
- Reduce unnecessary purchasing and consumption.
- Consider lifecycle emissions when making significant procurement decisions.
- Engage suppliers regarding lower-carbon alternatives.
5.4 Waste Reduction and Circular Economy
We will:
- Reduce unnecessary consumption and packaging.
- Increase recycling and reuse.
- Encourage digital rather than paper-based processes where appropriate.
- Dispose of waste through responsible and appropriately licensed providers.
- Monitor waste volumes where practicable.
5.5 Water
Although water consumption may represent a relatively small proportion of our overall carbon footprint, we will:
- Monitor water consumption where practicable.
- Repair leaks promptly.
- Use water-efficient equipment and fittings.
- Encourage employees to use water responsibly.
5.6 Digital and IT
We will seek to reduce the environmental impact of our IT operations by:
- Extending the useful life of IT equipment where practical.
- Purchasing energy-efficient equipment.
- Using responsible recycling and disposal arrangements.
- Reducing unnecessary printing.
- Reviewing opportunities to reduce energy consumption associated with IT infrastructure.
- Considering the environmental credentials of technology suppliers where appropriate.
6. Employee Engagement
Employees have an important role in achieving our carbon reduction objectives.
We will:
- Communicate our carbon reduction objectives to employees.
- Provide guidance on energy efficiency and sustainable travel.
- Encourage employees to identify opportunities to reduce emissions.
- Promote responsible use of equipment and resources.
- Include environmental considerations within relevant training and internal communications.
7. Governance and Responsibilities
Overall responsibility for implementation of this Carbon Reduction Plan rests with the Directors.
Operational responsibility will be assigned to the Operations Manager.
Responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining the emissions inventory.
- Monitoring progress against reduction targets.
- Coordinating carbon reduction initiatives.
- Collecting relevant energy, transport, waste and procurement data.
- Reporting progress to senior management.
- Reviewing this Carbon Reduction Plan annually.

Progress will be reviewed at least annually and more frequently where appropriate.
8. Continual Improvement
This Carbon Reduction Plan will be treated as a living document and reviewed annually.
As emissions data becomes more accurate and new technologies and opportunities become available, we will update our reduction measures and targets as appropriate.
We will also consider relevant developments in UK Government policy, procurement requirements, recognised carbon accounting standards and industry good practice.
9. Declaration and Sign Off
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 006 and associated guidance and reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans.
Emissions have been reported and recorded in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the GHG Reporting Protocol corporate standard and uses the appropriate Government emission conversion factors for greenhouse gas company reporting.
Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions have been reported in accordance with SECR requirements, and the required subset of Scope 3 emissions have been reported in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard.
